Hi Judeprobably one of the british band's best known songsthe BeatlesTo avoid provocation, German-speaking viewers must briefly point out that the title in no way refers to Jews, but to Julian's nickname. who mean? when, under what circumstancesHi Judedeveloped? Why did you create this song? How is the recording going? What was it about, and most importantly, what happened to the title of the song? So many questions, so many answers.
Hi Jude - Wer
The first question that arises is: Who is this Jew? Of course, the song was written for him. Although the song was released on Lennon/McCartney Records, it was primarily written by Paul.
More often than not, art is inspired by real life. John Lennon was married before his highly controversial affair with Yoko Ono. John's first wife, Cynthia Powell, met the musician when he was 18 at Liverpool Academy. Four years later, she became pregnant and the two decided to marry. The band's manager, Brian Epstein, feared the couple's marriage would make the Beatles less attractive to female fans, and initially kept it a secret. In April 1963, their son, John Charles Julian, was born. Nicknamed Jules. The original title "Hey Jules" was a little too obvious for Lennon's son, so the name was changed to Jude.
I started with the idea of Hey Jules, which is Julian, do no wrong, sing a sad song, and then do it better.
-Paul McCartney, 1997

hey jew - when
Released as a single on August 26, 1968, the song is considered the Beatles' most successful single, selling 7.5 million copies. In Germany, "Hey Jude" topped the charts for 27 consecutive weeks. The '68s are still 52 years later, even for generations that know that era only from other people's memories. An international youth movement revolts, workers band together to strike, and two attacks rock the United States. Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy were both shot. The group decided to travel to India during a turbulent time. There, they meditate and discover themselves with Yogi Maharishi Mahesh. During this time, the group composed some 40 new compositions.
hey jews - why
As members of such a popular band, their relationship was rarely without scandal. Cynthia accused John of adultery with the aforementioned Yoko Ono in 1968, the year Hey Jude was released. Although Lennon denied having an affair with her, the Japanese woman's pregnancy turned out to be the other way around, and Cynthia filed for divorce. Unlike Ono, Cynthia was part of the Beatles social circle even before the Beatles became famous. After the breakup, Paul felt the need to visit Cynthia and Julian, who were five years old at the time. "Hey Jude" was shot on the way back.
I was touched by his unequivocal concern for our well-being...he created "Hey Jude" in the car on the way down the mountain. I will never forget the care and concern of Paul who came to visit us.
- Cynthia Lennon
Obviously, the source of inspiration was Julian's situation. However, Lennon later claimed that he was actually addressing him. Yoko Ono had just entered John's life at the time, becoming the musician's constant companion. Creative duo John and Paul could not continue to exist in their previous versions. Thus, Lennon interpreted the line "Go out and get her" as McCartney's subconscious request to continue his relationship with Ono.
Come to think of it...Yoko just came into the picture. He said. "Hey Jude - Hey John." I know I sound like one of those fans who reads all sorts of stuff into it, but to me, you can listen to it as a song. The phrase "go out to pick her up"—he subconsciously said: Come on, leave me. On a conscious level, he didn't want me to move forward.
—John Lennon, 1980
Hey Jew - Jak
Produced by George R.R. Martin, "Hey Jude" was the Beatles' first self-labeled songapplePublish records. First off, the sheer length of "Hey Jude" is amazing. At over seven minutes, it's too long for a radio single. These recordings coincided with works from an album called The Beatles, known as the White Album. The first 25 tracks of the song were recorded over two nights at London's Abbey Road (EMI Studios) on 29-30 July 1968. However, they were more like rehearsals, as the actual recording was planned at Trident Studios, as there was an eight-track recorder there, while EMI Studios could only provide four tracks. Still, the first two records, on July 29, are released on the 50th anniversary of the White Album in 2018.

For the first time, there are obvious artistic and human differences within the band, as Yoko is often present during studio sessions. In the end, drummer Ringo Starr even left the band temporarily to go on vacation to Sardinia. He felt like a fifth wheel on a cart rather than part of the Beatles. Through countless postcards and apologies, those who stayed finally convinced Ringo to become a member again.
hey jude - been there
"Hey Jude" is certainly an inspiring song. The singer encouraged Jude not to take life too seriously and to look to the future. Knowing that the song was written for Julian, who was only five years old at the time, the lines that clearly encourage him to fall in love are surprising. Still, Paul presumably also wanted to remind older Julian that, despite his parents' shattered relationship, the world believed in the importance of love.
every time you feel pain
hey jude wait a minute
don't carry the world on your shoulders
because you know he's a fool
who played well
make his world a little cooler
After the fourth verse, the song transitions to a mantra-like repetition of "Na-na-na, Hey Jude." The ending ran 19 times and took just over 4 minutes. In addition to the band members, music videos attract an active audience whose diversity is remarkable. Additionally, in a 2018 interview with GQ Magazine, Paul said that "Hey Jude" remains an integral part of his show because of the impressive dynamic it creates between the audience and him. Energy exchange, connecting these massive masses.
Whenever I do a new tour, I want to throw all the songs. But better than I thought, I had to do "Hey Jude" because it was so much fun. You know, it's great to bring that to the audience. Do you know what is the greatest? You feel a sense of community.
- Paul McCartney, 2018

Hi Jude - Hi Julian
An interesting question I have at this point is what happened to five year old Julian? What did he say about the songs written for him? Julian Lennon, now a successful musician, told Rolling Stone magazine that he was too young to remember the golden years of the Beatles, let alone the song Paul wrote for him . For many years, however, Paul was the only one of the Beatles to keep in touch with Julian. He sends him a telegram every year on his birthday. "Hey Jude" almost accompanied Julian Lennon all his life. Every time he hears this song, he is amazed.
It's weird to think someone wrote a song about you. It still affects me.
-Julian Lennon
In 1996, Julian Lennon bought the recording notes of "Hey Jude" for £25,000.
